Condition analysis

waterfall_diagram Condition analysis gives a specific and detailed information about the condition of the machinery. Analysis is done with help of vibration measurements and visual inspections. Analysis results helps to prevent machine failures and gives more time for maintenance planning. Nome offers an independent and precise condition analysis to all rotating machines. Condition analysis is recommended to be done at least once every year. The interval of inspections is dependent of the process, machinery and machine criticality.

Reference study

Spectrum Reference and guarantee period inspections are used to verify the installation and collect initial vibration levels of the machine. Collected data is used later on to follow the development of vibrations. Values are also very important in trouble shooting cases. Values should be collected on new machinery after one month running time and repeated before guarantee period ends.


Nominal frequency study

Resonance Resonance or nominal frequency vibrations are very common and occurs in almost all rotating machinery. Characteristic to resonance is that it normally occurs only in narrow speed range and even small periodic forces can produce large amplitude vibrations. Resonance causes a significant amount of machine damage and production loses every year. Nominal frequencies can be measured and problems can be solved by speed changes or structural modifications. | top

Offline condition monitoring

Vibration_trend Offline condition monitoring is used to monitor the condition of machinery on periodic onsite measurements. Condition of the machinery is measured on preset timetable and changes in vibration trend reflect to machine condition. When damages are detected in early stage maintenance actions can be planned in advance and surprising damages can be avoided. | top

Remote monitoring

Remote_monitoring Condition monitoring can be done also by remote monitoring. In remote monitoring the condition of machinery is followed in Nome's remote monitoring center. Machinery can be completely monitored by Nome or monitoring can be done together with customer. System is constantly monitoring the machinery and alerts on damage can be used for immediate actions. Remote monitoring requires installation of suitable remote monitoring vibration system. | top
